The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Municipal Band presents the open-air concert ‘The Win Band Melodies’ this thursday for FIMUCITÉ 20
Thursday, 09 July 2026- Conducted by Ismael Brajim and featuring arrangements by Juan Antonio Domínguez Martín and David Hernández Herrera, the historic ensemble will be taking the audience on a journey through iconic scores by composers such as Miklós Rózsa, Bernard Herrmann, John Williams and Howard Shore.
The Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ) is presenting the open-air concert ‘The Win Band Melodies’ this Thursday, 9th July, at 19.00 pm, in the Plaza del Príncipe in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Música will be performed by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Municipal Band under the baton of Ismael Brajim.
The free event that is open to all ages is a part of the larger theme of this year's special edition designed to celebrate 20 years of FIMUCITÉ. This year we are paying tribute to films that have won an Oscar from the Hollywood Academy and will be showcasing the most iconic melodies from the silver screen. The Win Band Melodies concert is an ideal opportunity for all the family to enjoy a summer’s evening together.
With arrangements by Juan Antonio Domínguez Martín and David Hernández Herrera, the band will perform some of the most iconic scores in the history of cinema, in a programme that invites the audience to relive magical moments from the silver screen through the films’ memorable soundtracks.
The repertoire includes unforgettable works from films such as Ben-Hur (Miklós Rózsa) Psycho (Bernard Herrmann), The Bridge on the River Kwai (Kenneth Alford), Exodus (Ernest Gold), Jaws (John Williams), Taxi Driver (Bernard Herrmann), Chariots of Fire (Vangelis), The Lord of the Rings (Howard Shore) and Braveheart (James Horner), taking the audience on a musical journey through well-known Oscar-winners.

Founded and directed by composer and conductor Diego Navarro, FIMUCITÉ 20 takes place from 3rd - 19th July with the support of its main sponsor, Turismo de Tenerife, under the destination’s tourism campaign ‘Tenerife Awakens Emotions’, and the Department of Culture of the Cabildo de Tenerife.
