- - FIMUCITÉ is celebrating its 20th anniversary from 3rd - 19th July 2026, an event featuring international guests and unmissable performances dedicated to film music.
- The Auditorio de Tenerife will be hosting three of its must-see concerts: the spectacular live-to-picture concert Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert; the Spanish premiere of John Williams Reimagined; and the festival’s closing gala, which will showcase some of the most iconic and award-winning scores in history.

Looking ahead to its 20th anniversary, the Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ), the longest-running event of its kind in the world, founded and directed by composer and conductor Diego Navarro, invites audiences to celebrate the festive season with an unforgettable gift: tickets for its highly anticipated concerts at the Auditorio de Tenerife, taking place on 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th July 2026.

The upcoming edition promises to be a landmark event, with a programme bringing together leading artists around some of the most beloved film scores of the seventh art. Among the confirmed highlights is the eagerly awaited Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, presented in two performances on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July in live-to-picture format. Under the baton of Irish composer and conductor Eímear Noone, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (Orquestra Sinfónica de Tenerife - OST) will perform John Williams’ legendary score live, in sync with the screening of the film responsible for launching the iconic saga. Ticket prices:  €45 - €60.

Earlier, on Thursday 16 July, the Chamber Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife  will host the Spanish premiere of John Williams Reimagined, a concept devised by Robert Townson, widely regarded as one of the foremost producers of film music. This intimate recital offers a fresh perspective on the work of the most Oscar-nominated composer in history, with arrangements by pianist Simone Pedroni and performances by Sara Andon (flute) and Cecilia Chan (cello). Ticket price: €30.

The grand finale will take place on Sunday 19 July with the FIMUCITÉ 20 Red Carpet Gala, conducted by Diego Navarro, the festival’s founder and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This closing concert will bring together the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (OST) and the Tenerife Film Choir for a compelling journey through legendary scores, both nominated for and awarded the Academy Award, from The Wizard of Oz to Dune. Ticket prices: €45 - €60.
