The Tenerife International Film Music Festival, Fimucité, will celebrate its 18th edition from july 5th to july 20th, 2024

The Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ) announces the dates for its 18th edition, which will take place from the 5th to the 20th of July, 2024, after this year's acclaimed return to the summer season of the oldest specialized soundtrack event in the world. Over 7000 people enjoyed the six concerts scheduled for this seventeenth edition, dedicated to the universe of comics and superheroes, and their parallel activities.

The concert program, comprised of original productions designed by FIMUCITÉ for their premiere in each new edition of the Festival, annually offers a range of proposals marked by excellence and the performance of popular soundtracks of great interest to the audience. World premieres and renowned international guests, composers, artists and other industry professionals, make the Festival a key event in the cultural offer of the Canary Islands and a must-see event for both local audiences and those coming from all over the world.

In the words of acclaimed composer and conductor Diego Navarro, director and founder of the Tenerife International Film Music Festival: “The 17th edition of FIMUCITÉ has marked the return of the festival to the month of July, from which it should never have moved. We have regained the summer spirit of the oldest film music festival in the world. A great edition full of varied activities and concerts that delighted our audience. A festival consolidated years ago, an indisputable mark of the culture of our land that is already on its way to coming of age.”

The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife (FIMUCITÉ), of global importance in its genre, celebrated irs 17th edition, between the 30th of June and the 15th of July, with the sponsorship of Cabildo de Tenerife, the Organismo Autónomo de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Organismo Autónomo de Actividades Musicales del Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Sinfónica de Tenerife, Auditorio de Tenerife, Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural and Volcano Teide Experience; with the special collaboration of the Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Tenerife, Tenerife Innova, Fondo de Desarrollo de Canarias, Fundación Disa, Emmasa, Fundación SGAE, Fundación “la Caixa” via CaixaBank, Fundación CajaCanarias, AUDI, as the official Festival car, and Fundación Diario de Avisos, the Grupo Plató del Atlántico and Televisión Canaria as main media partners.
