Fimucité enters the final stretch with cyberpunk and its guests all present in Tenerife

-The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife celebrates the success of its first concerts and completes rehearsals for the big symphonic concerts at Auditorio de Tenerife.

- The full roster of guests for this 16th edition of FIMUCITÉ have arrived and are on the island.

The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife (FIMUCITÉ), the oldest in Europe, and a point of reference in its speciality, which is currently celebrating its 16th edition under the direction of renowned composer and conductor Diego Navarro, and with the support of Cabildo de Tenerife, Gobierno de Canarias, Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, is putting the finishing touches on its gala 'Cyberpunk Remastered' concerts.

This Friday and Saturday, the 23rd and the 24th of September, the Auditorio de Tenerife will host the 'Cyberpunk Remastered' symphonic concerts, two thematic concerts which have become the greatest musical productions in the history of the Festival, as performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, conducted by Diego Navarro. The concert will also feature the talents of the Tenerife Film Choir and the Coro Polifónico de la Universidad de La Laguna, with Juan Ramón Vinagre and Julio Chinea as respective choir masters. This brings over one hundred musicians onstage for a repertoire where the Cyberpunk subgenre will be front and centre, imagining dystopian futures in which technology and robotics reign supreme.

Both concerts, called 'Cyberpunk Remastered (Vol. 1) – Manga / Anime' and 'Cyberpunk Remastered (Vol. 2) – Soul of the Machine', will share a section, which will include pieces from 'The Terminator', 'Transformers: The Movie', 'Total Recall', 'The Matrix', 'Blade Runner' and videogame 'Cyberpunk 2077', whereas the first part of each concert will be exclusive to either concert.

Guest Composers and Artists
All of the international guest composers and artists have landed safely in Tenerife, and will take part in the programme of masterclasses at the FIMUCITÉ Film Scoring Academy, which, this year, takes place at the Centro IACtec del Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Tenerife, in Las Mantecas (La Laguna).

American composer Brad Fiedel, author of the iconic score for 'The Terminator' and 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day', will take the stage of the Auditorio de Tenerife to perform his music in a World Premiere.

Australian composer Johnny Klimek, who, alongside Tom Tykwer, composed the score for  'Matrix Resurrections', the latest entry in the iconic sci-fi saga created by Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski, returns to FIMUCITÉ to present said score and that of 'Cloud Atlas', in yet another World Premiere.

Vince DiCola also returns to the Festival to bring to the 'Cyberpunk Remastered' programme his music for 'Transformers: the Movie'. The acclaimed composer of 'Rocky IV' or 'Staying Alive', nominated for both a Golden Globe and a Grammy, will also take part in the school concerts for this edition of FIMUCITÉ.

In addition, Marcin Przybylowicz and P.T. Adamczyk, from Poland, will present, in yet another World Premiere, the celebrated score they composed, alongside Paul Leonard-Morgan, for videogame 'Cyberpunk 2077', developed and published by CD Projekt Red. In FIMUCITÉ, we will hear a suite created expressly for the festival, in participation with Olga Janowska, original vocalist on song 'Never Fade Away', who will perform said hit from the game's soundtrack, which has almost 12 million listens on Spotify.

Other standout stars in this edition include members of British band Juno Reactor, founded in 1990 in London by Ben Watkins, who composed various pieces for the 'Matrix' saga. This artist will be on keyboards alongisde drummer Greg Ellis and guitarist Amir John Haddad, El Amir performing the piece 'Mona Lisa Overdrive', from 'Matrix Reloaded'.

Joining these international artists in the 'Cyberpunk Remastered' concerts are Canarians Kike Perdomo (sax) and Jadel (voice).

Tickets, available for 30 and 40 euros, can be acquired on the Auditorio de Tenerife website, at the box office or by phone (+34 902 317 327). FIMUCITÉ is offering a pack for those who wish to enjoy both concerts, with a 10 euro discount.
