The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife is putting together an outstanding programme of concerts and parallel activities for soundtrack lovers
The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife (FIMUCITÉ), directed by renowned composer and conductor Diego Navarro, has announced the dates for its 16th edition, which will take place from the 16th to the 25th of September 2022, with the support of Cabildo de Tenerife, Gobierno de Canarias, the councils of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Audi Canarias and Teleférico del Teide, amongst other entities.
After the resounding success of 2021's 15th edition, with all seven concerts given at Auditorio de Tenerife, Teatro Leal, Teatro Guimerá, ex Convento de Santo Domingo and Espacio La Granja completely sold out, despite restrictions and measures put in place due to the current health situation, the organizers of FIMUCITÉ are working on a fantastic programme for their loyal fanbase and newcomers alike, in an edition which will see the Festival return to full capacity, post-pandemic.
The programme will offer concerts in many formats, performed by Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Tenerife Film Choir, Pop Culture Band, Coro Polifónico de la Universidad de La Laguna, Coro de Voces Blancas del Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Tenerife and other international guest formations and soloists.
The parallel activities will include a new course of the FIMUCITÉ Film Scoring Academy, the programme of screenings for FIMUCINEMA, the Festival´s official competition section, and much more.
The theme of this year's edition will be revealed very soon, as well as the first announced guests and the full event programme.
