- - This Saturday, Diego Navarro will conduct the Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Warmińsko-Mazurskiej in the first ever European performance of ‘Money Heist – In Concert’.
The high point of this weekend´s fifth Arena Festival: Film & Music, which takes place in the city of Ostróda in Poland, is the premiere European performance of ‘Money Heist – In Concert’, an original production by the Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife (FIMUCITÉ).
After its Canarian premiere, during the last edition of FIMUCITÉ, this will be the kickoff point for the international tour of this concert devoted to the music from the hit Netflix series, with the support of Canarias Crea, a program designed by Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural del Gobierno de Canarias to promote international promotion of Canarian artists. The symphonic arrangement of the score composed by Manel Santisteban and Iván Martínez Lacámara has been musically and artistically directed by renowned composer and orchestra conductor Diego Navarro, director of FIMUCITÉ, who will lead the Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Warmińsko-Mazurskiej during their performance this Saturday in the Ostroda Amphitheater.
The composers of the show´s score will be present at the concert, which will also feature vocalist Cecilia Krull, who will perform ‘My life is going on’, the popular theme song from ‘Money Heist’, which premieres its fifth season this September. Additionally, the orchestra will be joined by a rock ensemble lead by Gonzalo de Araoz (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin), with Daniel Lukacs (electric guitar), David González (keyboards), Siddhart Dorta (drums) and Basilio Gómez (Backtracks).
This 2021 will see FIMUCITÉ celebrate its 15th edition, and this special occasion will see a very special program from September 17th to 26th, under the heading “Once Upon a Time in FIMUCITÉ: 15 Years of the Best in Film Music”, with the support of Cabildo de Tenerife, Gobierno de Canarias, Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Auditorio de Tenerife and Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, as well as the Fundación “la Caixa”, the Fundación Disa and the Domingo Alonso Group.
