Ridley Scott: Like Tears In Rain

First came “Tarantino Unchained”, then, "Scorsese After Hours” and now, in the 16th Edition of FIMUCITÉ, we present the concert “Ridley Scott, Like Tears in Rain”, the name of which comes from replicant Roy Batty's monologue from "Blade Runner", probably one of the most memorable monologues in science-fiction movie history.

Gonzalo de Araoz, director of Pop Culture Band, offers, for this edition of FIMUCITÉ, a trip through the movies of three-time Oscar-nominated director Ridley Scott, which will take us through titles such as “Blade Runner”, “American Gangster”, “The Martian”, “Black Hawk Down”, “Thelma & Louise”, “Matchstick Men”, “House of Gucci”, “White Squall” and “Black Rain”, amongst others. The audience will be able to enjoy a selection of the best music from his films, which will immerse them in a variety of musical genres. This will also give us the opportunity to pay tribute to wonderful, recently-deceased composer Vangelis, who gave us the incredible score for the legendary “Blade Runner”.

This year, Pop Culture Band, as is customary, welcomes new members both recent and celebrated to their team of artists, such as famed Tenerife singer Jadel, who, together with Héctor Quintero, Patricio González, Zuleyma Medina and promising young performers Sandra Torres and Juan de Araoz, joined by musicians Nuria Herrero, Francis Díaz, Aborá Cel, David González, Daniel Lukacs, Javi Guerrero, Cristo Delgado, Elio Bignotte, Luis Cuan and Gonzalo de Araoz will bring real magic to the stage.

Pop Culture Band will premiere "Ridley Scott, Like Tears in Rain" on Saturday the 17th of September at the Teatro Guimerá de Santa Cruz de Tenerife before the ever loyal and wonderful audience of FIMUCITÉ.
