Tickets selling fast for ‘Fimucité Cabaret’, a great retro celebration of the musical

The Festival Internacional de Musica de Cine de Tenerife will open the concert programme of its 18th edition at the Teatro Leal with a unique and unmissable proposal based around musicals such as 'Moulin Rouge', 'Chicago' or 'Cabaret'.

Tickets for the Pop Culture Band and 'La La Land Live-to-Picture' concerts are already sold out.

There are still seats for the closing concert, 'A Million Dreams', a journey through the musical genre led by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and exceptional solo voices under the baton of Diego Navarro.

The Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife (FIMUCITÉ) is counting down to its 18th edition, which will take place from July 5th to 20th, and tickets for its shows are flying. The Pop Culture Band concerts, 'Don't stop believing' and 'La La Land Live-to-Picture' have already sold out, while there are still some seats for the opening and closing concerts.

On Friday, July 12th, the emblematic Teatro Leal de La Laguna offers ‘Fimucité Cabaret’, an exhilaratingly fun show from the band Atelier de Musique, composed of seven musicians led by extraordinary saxophonist Kike Perdomo, along with The Vintage Experience, a trio of brilliant singers specialised in timeless classics.

The iconic song 'Willkommen' from the musical 'Cabaret' will welcome the public, who are invited to attend in their best period clothes to live an immersive experience that will transport them to whirlwind decades the 20s and 30s, the setting for legendary Broadway and film musicals 'Cabaret', 'Chicago' and 'Some Like it Hot', as well as the incredible year 1899, as recreated in the musical film 'Moulin Rouge!', or the contemporary variety and vaudeville show from 'Burlesque'. Other unforgettable songs will also be played, such as 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend' or 'Big Spender', immortalized by Marilyn Monroe in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and by Shirley MacLaine in 'Sweet Charity', respectively.

The last remaining tickets for this concert are on sale, at the price of 15 and 18 euros, at the Teatro Leal box office and at Tickety.es.

‘A Million Dreams’
Then, the Auditorio de Tenerife will host the final concert of this edition of FIMUCITÉ on Saturday, July 20th, designed as a spectacular show to close the celebration of the coming of age of the Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife, the oldest in the world dedicated to soundtracks and music for audiovisual media, in style.

Composer and conductor Diego Navarro, creator of FIMUCITÉ, will take the baton, leading the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and a pop rock ensemble, with the participation of top-level Canarian vocalists such as Cristina Ramos, Carmen Acosta, Néstor Galván, Fran León, Héctor Quintero, Javier Jonás, Cristina Farrais, Íñigo Irigoyen, Zuleyma Medina, Aliona Kvitka, Sonia Gil, Yasmina Padilla and Raquel Gómez.

'A Million Dreams' proposes a route, in the form of a historical journey, through legendary musicals. The program includes monumental scores and world premieres of symphonic arrangements of legendary musical films such as: 'The Wizard of Oz', 'My Fair Lady', 'Singin' in the Rain', 'An American in Paris', 'West Side Story', 'The Greatest Showman', 'The Phantom of the Opera' or 'Les Miserables'.
