Passarella
Maestro Pasarella is considered one of the most prestigious contemporary bandoneonists, one of the most outstanding composers of modern tango in the Río de la Plata and a virtuoso bandoneon player, as well as a creator of popular and classical, symphonic and chamber works.
His unmistakable sound and the particular expressiveness of his phrasing have caused praise from great musicians such as: Ionescu Galati, Leo Brawer, Luis Bacalov and Donato Renzetti, among others, and from the filmmakers Emidio Greco, Michael Radford, Robert Duvall, with all of whom he has worked, as well as the admiration of the public and the critics of both continents.
Maestro Passarella was the main bandoneonist in the soundtrack of the famous film "Il Postino", whose music was composed by the renowned Argentine composer Luis Bacalov, and was awarded an Oscar from the Hollywood Academy for the best film soundtrack in 1996.
The concert at the CCK featured well-known pieces such as La Cumparsita and El Choclo, as well as his own works, including the Concierto para bandoneón y conjunto de cámara en tres movimientos, Ricercare 2011, Preludio y rondó milonguero para Astor, Florida para siempre, Milonga para Neruda and Il Postino, which generated great acclaim from the audience.
