Coro EnArmonía
The EnArmonÍa Choir, founded in May 2024 and attached to the Ariadna Simó School of Performing Arts in La Laguna (LAS), has established itself as an outstanding group on the Tenerife music scene. It is jointly directed by Miriam Luz Fumero Morales and Esther Wagenaar.
Esther Wagenaar, choir teacher at the Tenerife Conservatory of Music, singing teacher at the Trinity School of Music and director of the Tenerife Contemporary Choir.
Miriam Luz Fumero, choir teacher in the municipal plan for school choirs, singer and director of the choir Polifonía de La Orotava.
Their repertoire is diverse, covering a wide range of both sacred and secular music from different periods and styles.
Throughout the year 2024, the choir has participated in several significant events, including performances in the parish of Nuestra Señora de Fátima and in the Church of María Auxiliadora. They also took part in the Christmas concerts as part of the XLV Encuentro Coral ciudad de La Laguna, the XLI Muestra Coral de Navidad Villa de La Orotava and the extraordinary Christmas concert "Venite Adoremus" in Santa Úrsula.
Among the forthcoming engagements, it has several concerts planned for the Fiesta Patronal Nuestra Señora de Fátima, in S/C, guest choir in the Closing Concerts of the Municipal School Choirs of Santa Cruz in the Auditorium and in the Concert and Workshop within the SUMA Festival (Santa Úrsula).
MIRIAM LUZ FUMERO MORALES
With an established career in the Tenerife choral scene, she has been the director of the Coro Polifonía Villa de La Orotava since 1996. Under her direction, this group has developed an intense choral activity, performing not only throughout the archipelago, but also on various national and international stages.
His musical training is complemented by classical guitar studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife and a degree in Economics from ULL. Her involvement in choral music also manifests itself as a member of the Coro Contemporáneo de Tenerife and as co-director of the Coro EnArmonía. Since 1992, she has shared her extensive experience as a choir teacher for the Organismo Autónomo de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, training new generations of voices.
ESTHER WAGENAAR
Originally from Heerhugowaard in the Netherlands, her musical journey began with the study of singing at the prestigious Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. Her path led her to Tenerife, where she completed her academic training with a degree in choral conducting at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Throughout her career, she has enriched countless vocal and instrumental ensembles, both as a chorister and soloist. Her experience as a conductor includes several ensembles. She currently shares her passion and knowledge as a choir teacher at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife and as a singing teacher at Trinity Academy. He also directs the Coro Contemporáneo de Tenerife and co-directs the Coro EnArmonía, merging his pedagogical vocation with active musical direction.
