Patrignani
Marco Patrignani is CEO and Artistic Director of Forum Studios in Rome, the iconic studios founded by Ennio Morricone, Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov, and Piero Piccioni—now a reference point for music production and major international cultural events.
He is the creator of the Forum Theatre, an immersive venue for concerts, performances, and multimedia exhibitions.
As a music producer, author, and cultural manager, he has sold over one million records and participated five times in the Sanremo Music Festival with artists such as Massimo Di Cataldo, Daniele Groff, and Anna Oxa. He has worked with Ennio Morricone, Nicola Piovani, Noa, Youssou N’Dour, Morrissey, and Quincy Jones. In 1998, he produced the Italian version of the music for DreamWorks’ The Prince of Egypt.
In 2009, he founded the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, the first symphonic ensemble exclusively dedicated to film music. He has produced over 350 cine-concerts across Italy, the USA, China, and the Middle East, in partnership with Disney, Warner Bros, Universal, and Paramount. Titles include Harry Potter, Star Wars, Titanic, Gladiator, 007 Skyfall, and Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar Live
In 2018, he created the monumental Gladiator Live event at the Colosseum and Circus Maximus, with Russell Crowe and Lisa Gerrard, raising funds for End Polio Now in collaboration with Rotary, WHO, UNICEF, and the Gates Foundation.
As sponsor and project leader, he oversaw the installation of the new panoramic elevator at the Colosseum, which now allows everyone—including people with mobility challenges—to access the highest levels of the amphitheater.
Since 2022, he has been the founder and artistic director of the Roma Film Music Festival, Italy’s first festival fully dedicated to film music and part of an esteemed international triumvirate with Fimucité (Tenerife) and the Krakow Film Music Festival, promoting film music culture worldwide.
