FIMUCITÉ Channel gathers the widest compilation of the greatest film music hits in a new area of the festival’s website.
The Tenerife International Film Music Festival, FIMUCITÉ, presents the FIMUCITÉ CHANNEL, a new space on its website that gathers the best videos of its history aimed at festival followers and film music lovers. This new entertainment space is born due to the Covid-19 crisis and its social distancing measures, when auditoriums, theaters and cinemas are closed and culture must be enjoyed online from home, but with the goal of continuity with new videos and recordings.
This proposal, available in https://fimucite.com/14/en/fimucite-channel adapted to all mobile, structures its contents in different categories, focused on each film genre.
Concerning full concerts, you can already enjoy “Sword and sorcery” and “the Stephen King Night Gallery” from FIMUCITÉ 11, Howard Shore from FIMUCITÉ 10, “The Gotham Symphony” from FIMUCITÉ 8, the Varèse Sarabande 35th anniversary and the James Bond tribute celebrated in FIMUCITÉ 7. All these concerts were recorded by RTVE (the official Spanish Television) thanks to an agreement that allows the filming and broadcasting of the festival performances with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and the Tenerife Film Choir, celebrated in the Tenerife’s Auditorium “Adán Martín”.
The FIMUCITÉ CHANNEL also offers a selection of pieces devoted to historic film music main themes like Spartacus (Alex North), North by Northwest or Psycho (Bernard Hermann), Superman and Star Wars (John Williams) or Iron Man (Ramin Djawadi), among many others.
In the words of the renowned composer and conductor Diego Navarro, director of FIMUCITÉ: “These tough days we are treasuring more than ever the value of culture. For this reason, we have created the FIMUCITÉ CHANNEL, available in our website. It is a new space that gathers an extraordinary compilation of great performances along 13 years of history of our worldwide renowned festival. This channel offers many videos published in TVE “a la carta”, Vimeo and our official Youtube channel, which enjoys 8 million views. Feel and enjoy the magic of the FIMUCITÉ experience at home!”.
FIMUCITÉ 14 should be held between September 18th and 27th, with the support and sponsorship of the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Canary Islands Government, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, Audi Canarias, the Teleférico del Teide, and the collaboration of SGAE – the Spanish General Society of Authors and Publishers, amongst others. The celebration of this FIMUCITÉ 14 depends on the evolution of the current pandemic situation. We are working hard to grant a successful new edition.
